At NCCH, our staff with Cardiopulmonary Services/Respiratory Therapy is dedicated to improving the pulmonary function and quality of life for our patients. Our services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to patients ranging in age from newborn to seniors. Every member of the Respiratory Therapy team holds national certification and is licensed by the state of Arizona as a registered respiratory therapist. We offer a full continuum of care, ranging from diagnostic testing, Emergency Department care, inpatient and outpatient therapy, procedures and education. Services provided by our dedicated respiratory therapists include:
- Electrocardiograms (EKG)
- CPR and intubation assist
- Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
- Nebulizer therapy
- Smoking cessation, COPD and asthma education
- CPAP and BIPAP therapy
- Mechanical ventilation
- Pulmonary function testing
- Oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry
- Chest physiotherapy and lung expansion therapy
