Two boards, one community

Northern Cochise Community Hospital functions under the direction of two boards of directors. In 1968, the Northern Cochise Hospital District was formed to serve the health care needs of the residents of northeastern Cochise County. In order for the district to carry out its mandate, Northern Cochise Community Hospital was hired to provide health care services in the hospital district. The district and the corporation each operate with a board of directors. Consequently, the hospital, its staff and administrators answer to both boards.
