High School or College Applicants

Our scholarship program is available to residents within the Northern Cochise Community Hospital district service area. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, scholastic merit and a GPA of at least a 3.0 (if applicable), a documented intent to become certified or licensed in a health care career field and plan to return to serve the communities in Northern Cochise County.The scholarship committee will make the final decision concerning scholarship recipients. The scholarships for high school students, non-traditional students and post-secondary school recipients will be awarded to the educational facility on behalf of the student upon proof of enrollment verification. Approved recipients of scholarships will be encouraged to apply for continuing support during their education in a qualified health care career field and accredited institution.
Requesting an NCCH Scholarship
Contact Human Resources to request a scholarship application.To request a scholarship, an applicant will need:
  • plans to attend a U.S.-based college/institution.
  • a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • to provide a current transcript with high school or post-secondary grades.
  • to pursue a career in a health care-related field.
  • two written recommendations.
  • a written one-page essay on interest in health care.

NCCH Employee Applicants

The scholarship program is available to employees in good standing who work at Northern Cochise Community Hospital. Scholarships are awarded based on review of any disciplinary action on record within the last 12 months and scope of continuing education related to course work specifically relevant to the job or that will enhance job skills. Financial need may also be considered.The scholarship committee will make the final decision concerning scholarship recipients. The scholarships funds for a current NCCH employee recipient can be awarded in two ways: directly to the recipient upon providing proof of enrollment and a receipt of paid tuition from an accredited program/institution or directly to an accredited program/institution upon receiving an invoice and proof of enrollment. Approved recipients of scholarships will be encouraged to apply for continuing support during their education in a qualified health-related programs.
